A few weeks ago while sick and after 9yrs of being parent I had finally had enough of mashed and mangled tissue boxes all over the house! I’ve had this idea of a JUMBO tissue case rattling around in my head for years always saying “someday i’m gonna make” but never just sitting down to work it all out and make it happen. That is until the stars aliened and frustration prevailed one sick morning after school drop off while I needed a tissue in the car and all I had was a box that had been seeped on and crushed more times than not. And just like that the Grandma Lucy Tissue Case was born!!! In fact inspired by my Grandma Lucy’s travel size tissue case that I have kept for years but never used. I had never really even examined it until making its big sister version, which I’m so thankful that I did because upon examining it and looking closely at its stitches I realized it was hand done. Making it all the sweeter in recreating it.
My Grandma Lucy’s Love language was acts of service, so I hope you enjoy making these for all your loved ones as I’m sure she would have.
In the this Pattern I have given 3 different size options, the size will determine the amount of tissues the fit within. Smaller less and Larger more. The basic sewing supplies while they are not listed in the pattern are needed.
